rocks & water

Nancy Stedman

These recent works continue my fascination with the land under our feet, and those places where land and water meet, where silt and stones get moved and deposited, creating constantly changing relationships.  The images are built up from pigments poured around obstacles, with print and collage added in.  I am also intrigued by the networks of mycelia that thread through the ground, forming connections between fungi and trees.
