glimpse

Nancy Stedman

My practice revolves around a number of recurring themes, one of which is bringing attention to the actual process of viewing. In the 3-D works I have attempted to capture glimpses - those transient and fleeting moments, such as a flat open to the air, in the process of being demolished – and re-presenting them in static form. Winter evenings provide theatrical glimpses of forms lit by streetlights, the dark pressing in.
